I dropped off an item for cleaning and returned three months later, only to be told it had been donated. Most businesses hold items for at least six months, yet they falsely claimed I had brought it in much earlier than I actually had—despite my proof to the contrary. They were adamant about this timeline, insisting I had given them the item at a time when I didn’t even own it—an impossibility I could easily prove. Still, they refused to acknowledge their mistake. Meanwhile, I picked up another item that I had left there for a much longer period. While I appreciated that they kept it, it was baffling that they had mysteriously “donated” the other item, which hadn’t been there nearly as long. To make matters worse, when I finally received my second item, it was covered in stains—far more than when I had originally dropped it off. When I brought my concerns to the manager, Rosa, she was shockingly rude and refused to provide the owner’s contact information. Left with no other recourse, I disputed the charge with my bank. Nearly three weeks later, the owner, Pierre, finally called. We agreed that he would clean the soiled item and offer $15 off my next service as compensation for the much more valuable item they allegedly donate (but most likely lost). Before I had the chance to follow up with my bank to adjust the dispute, Pierre called me again, this time furious and unprofessional. He berated me over the phone, repeatedly interrupted me, and even threatened legal action over a charge of less than $3 (which is laughable) Then, he hung up on me. Although Pierre and his staff seemed pretty steamed up (pun intended), they seem pleasant when everything runs smoothly. However, when a problem arises… yikes. Given Pierre’s own behavior, it’s no surprise he hires an incompetent and discourteous team. I can only hope they learn to treat their customers (and their belongings) with more care. As for me, I won’t be returning, and I strongly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Consider this your buyer beware.
